I watched "Good Night and Good Luck" tonight. I highly encourage all of you to watch it also. Wow. I hope you will be as affected by it as I was. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I find your thoughts most interesting. As one who gets fed up with television rather easily, I agreed with this quote: But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. I think this applies to much more than tv though.

Recently I have been frustrated with the lack of challenging thoughts in many of my classes. I also decided that I wish I was a poli-sci major :)

Keep chewing on these thoughts; the minute we cease to critically think about our world, complacency becomes us.

Thanks, bud!
I'm sorry you're not getting intellectually challenged in your classes. That's frustrating! Poli-Sci Major, eh? Hehe, YES!
I plan on chewing on these thoughts more. I hope that this summer we can all get together a ton and talk about such things. I've talked to Cassi about it and about setting up a sort of 'book club' where we all read books about subjects we're interested in and then report back to the group what we've learned. That would be nice because then we wouldn't have to do all of the work of reading everything!
Oh yes, I need to mention this to Becky but this summer from June 19th-July 2nd my family will be gone on vacation and leaving me behind to hold down the fort (Katie will be at grad school). So I was wondering if you, Becky, and Cassi would like to spend a few days at my house over that time. Naturally all of us will have to work but at the end of the day we'd all reconvene at my place, cook up some supper, etc. etc. I think it would be amazing. Let me know what you think!
