Walter didn't get the message until he was done at work. He may have broken some of his own speed records getting from town to Victor's room.

He knocked before opening the door with his key and entering. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"No," Victor said, wrapping his arms around Walter. "They want me back at Xavier's this weekend. I leave tomorrow at five. I...I hope I'll be back."

"What?" Walter searched Victor's face for some sign this was a really bad joke. "Why? What do you mean you hope you'll be back?"

"I...I don't know. It sounded like an emergency, or Jubilee is playing a horrible prank on me. Either way, I have to go. I hope...oh shit, they'd tell me if it was my parents, right?"
