So I realise I'm a huge dork for this, but does anyone else totally have a mad crush on Smash?

Cause I love the show so so much, and I know it's so, so bad, but I love it so much!

Broadway, musical theatre, dancing, friendships destroyed under mysterious circumstances? REALLY HOT people all over the place? And Angelica Huston chewing scenery. God ( Read more... )

I taped the first episode because I like Broadway I wanted to see how they'd handle it, but I wasn't really going to follow it.

7 weeks later I'm still watching it.

There's way to much Secret! Relationship! Drama! and trips to that same karaoke bar as an excuse to sing pop songs. But, man it's entertaining.

It's SO entertaining! And everyone seems to be having a fantastic time and there's the CHORUS TRIO who crack me up every single time they're on ...errr, stage.

The random karaoke bar kills me with laughter. That magically everyone goes to. Much like Angelica Houston's ex-husband just happens to show up at every restaurant she's at just so he can get a drink thrown at him. (Which actually is a gag that I crack up at every time. Because I'm easy.)

I really really wish they'd give Raza Jaffery more to do than smile and nod at Karen. THE MAN CAN SING. LET THE MAN SING? PLEASE? (I've had such a major crush on the guy for years, yes)

Have you seen the Smash recaps that crazydiamondsue is writing? I do not watch the show myself but I know Sue is funny and awesome and a huge musical theater nerd, so those might be to your taste! (They're linked from her LJ).

I am totally hooked on it. I noticed today that I was humming one of the songs from it while I was washing dishes. Soo addictive!

So addictive! I...totally bought a bunch of the songs from iTunes. I love love love History is Made at Night. Also I love the actor that plays Michael even if Michael is kind of a douchebag.

I'm so ashamed that my favourite episode so far is the one with the Jonas brother in it. Sigh.

I do like HMN, and the song I was humming at the dishes was "Let's be Bad" - so catchy. Is it sad that I would totally go see "Marilyn" in a heartbeat?

I love Michael too, even though I want to punch his face a lot. I am both sad and gleeful that they are going to fire him.

I do really hate Leo, though - I think that the writers don't really know how old he is. He looks like he's about 16-18 but they seem to mostly write him as though he is 12. Or is that just me?

I would totally go see Marilyn too! ...also I wanna see the Newsies musical on Broadway, but that's actually in real life.

I don't want him to be fired! I want him to stick around and have insane chemistry and sing to me all that time. *cough*

You're right about Leo. I haven't been keen on him, but you put your finger on why. I think they said he was 16, but he definitely acts way younger. Especially in regards to "omg my sister in China!" He can go away to boarding school anytime now...
