I understand it sucks because of your personal situation, but life is too short to worry about getting offended over Christmas themed colors. If this is offensive I can't help but think how often you're offended on the internet. It must be really stressful :(

You don't have to consider it, though. Someone specifically said that this made them uncomfortable. No one's asking them to go back in time, just to respond in a polite and thoughtful way.

I'm glad I have to step away now so I'll miss the wank, but jsyk that mentality of "I'll offend someone whatever I do, so I'll do whatever without thinking about others"? That's the problem. I can choose not to join a challenge if I feel its theme is too restrictive, and I believe the mod wasn't trying to exclude people, but it's comments like yours that hurt.
