I'm gonna see Ghost in the Shell with a friend this Tuesday and I was wondering... Do I have to read something before or maybe watch the original movies? I'm very blank about this fandom and I was wondering if I'll understand it without knowing anything.

Btw, it's my friend who chose the movie, I hadn't planned to watch it because I really love to be very "documented" about the sources when it comes to adaptations! :)

I haven't watched it, but I think I'd probably watch the movie first and then watch the anime. This is to maximize the possibility of being able to appreciate both. Most of the folks I know who have watched the anime have been let down by the film, so by watching the film first, at least I can appreciate it for what it is.

it's stupid but i hate when makers don't make icons of true profile shots for profile themes.

Can I ask what true profile shots are? Aren't profile themes just a side of a person's face or am I mistaken what profile theme means?

not..creepy just off. it's too white compared to the rest of the icon, it stands out too much. A more muted or off white would work better imo

That sort of recoloring is supposed to look a bit off/weird/unnatural, but I wouldn't say the eyes are creepy. I like those icons.

I'm a big fan of her icons, and I must say that these are not her best. Yes, I find them creepy, and not in a good sense. But hey! She's experimenting and that's fine! I sure as hell made some cringy icons myself when trying something new.
