I wanted to share some info on here, I know it's been a ridiculously long time since I've posted, my PC doesn't work, I've RMAed and/or tested everything, my motherboard is out for its third RMA. Anyway, I have some interesting info I'd like to share ( Read more... )

I've been taking kelp tablets that have a good bit of iodine, which is helpful for the thyroid - I have low body temperature also, although not as low as yours. I find 5000 IU of vitamin D per day has helped me a lot - it got rid of decades old chronic depression, and stopped my gums bleeding every time I brushed. It also helped with what I thought was arthritic joint pain. I had been taking a multivitamin with 400 IU for years, but it wasn't until I started using the high doses that it started working. Given that the body makes 10,000 to 25,000 IU after 30 minutes in the sun, it is not an excessive dose.

I am actually taking 6000 IU of Vitamin D per day myself, among many other supplements. I used to take kelp, but not for many years. It didn't really seem to help, but it can't hurt (other than cost more money, my pills already cost over $100 every month). I've had bleeding gums as well, my dentist has complained about my gums, although I've always had very happy, healthy gums until a few years ago, but I see the dentist next week, we'll see if my treatments have helped any. I have a lot of joint pain as well, I've had it since the summer after 8th grade, and at first they thought it was tennis elbow (even though I'd never played tennis), then they thought that it was arthritis, but now they don't know what it is and no one except for me cares. I met a 12-year-old who has the same problem, too. And it spread from elbows to all joints by the time I was about 19. I also am getting the results of some vitamin and mineral absorption tests, as well as some fungal/yeast tests, on the 13th, so time will tell! I'm glad you're finding ( ... )

Congrats on the house! Hopefully, once this PC is functioning properly, I won't have so much trouble staying in touch. I will look for your area code when my phone rings and if it's yours, I'll assume it's yours and pick up. 423...423...423...it's like 432, only in a different order. All numbers in my immediate locale are either 667 or 432, so that will help me remember. My cell # has changed and is in my most recent post. I am sorry you deleted your Facebook as I can get there from my cell phone, whereas I cannot from LJ, but maybe with the new cellphone Kaiden is getting me, I'll be able to reach LJ. I hope so! My PC keeps turning itself off and refusing to turn back on (still) and my dial-up connection kills itself sometimes after only a few seconds, but normally every few minutes! It happens on multiple modems, multiple motherboards, multiple everything, so no clue what is causing it, unless it was that tree that landed on my phone line a couple years ago ( ... )
