this. I have no idea what is with that title, also what I've wrote here. I'm terribly sorry OTL
Jongwoon dragged you all the way to his room after a few days he returned from another business trip. You were hesitant and feeling somewhat afraid of all this. The meeting with his family wasn’t anything near pleasant, making fun of you and how a relationship between a master and his servant is the lowest of all things.
You felt your heart sink at every word. You wanted to disappear. The only thing you could do is bow your head in shame. You felt Jongwoon’s small hand tightening around yours and you dared to look in his direction and saw a sad and angered expression you never thought you’d see.
It made your heart ache even more. The way he tried to protect you and shriek at his own family. He tried to convince them, pled them, to at least let him love whoever he wants, asking nothing else in return. But to no avail.
Every scene made you just want to walk away and never come back. You hated the way he fought with his parents for you. But also felt happy deep in your heart; that you have someone to look after you and love you back, since you never had a family or friends. Just the fairies.
The thing that made you stay by his side through all those scenes and words was because you saw emptiness in his eyes, concluding that he was never free and always needed someone to protect him and love him back. Just like you. But at least you had the fairies. He had no one.
You never took your eyes off of him, tears forming and the only thing you could think was to take him away from this place, somewhere where he can be free.
When he saw your tears he panicked and tried to apologize for everything, placing your head on his chest, caressing your hair, whispering words like it’s okay, everything will be okay.
His family only rolled their eyes and left the room, not before ordering one of the servants to disinfect the area after you leave.
You kept whining as he dragged you to his room, all smiles and giggles like nothing has happened.
“Master Jongwoon, you can let go of my hand now, I can walk by myself.” You whined the moment you reached his room.
Jongwoon glared at you, opened the room and dragged you to the center of the room, turning to face you with a serious look.
“How many times have I told you to stop calling me Master, Ryeowook? We’re together now and I want no such honorifics between us, okay?”
“But it’s hard to drop the honorifics…you are indeed my master.”
“Try saying my name.”
“I can’t.”
“Say it! Or I’ll stop seeing you.” Jongwoon said as he turned his back. You know he’s just acting like a child so you tried to follow his game.
“Okay…J-…Jongwoon. Happy now?”
Jongwoon giggled and turned his face to you again, pressing your small body against his, brushing his lips on your forehead.
“But why did you brought me here anyway?” you asked. Jongwoon gave you a sly look and your eyes widened.
“Whaaat? J-Jongwoon what are you thinking?” you stuttered.
“Don’t worry, it’s not what you’re thinking.” He assured you, patting your head as he laughed.
“Then what?” You think your face is already red as a tomato for thinking the wrong way. You know Jongwoon won’t do something you wouldn’t want, especially so fast.
“I want you to move in with me.” He said in a serious tone.
“Jongwoon…I don’t think it’s a good idea. Your family…” You know his family won’t agree to this and you didn’t want him to fight again with them.
“I talked to them. Even if they don’t like it it’s still my room and I can do whatever I want in it. I pursued them to give you a chance and maybe they’ll like you. We should take this opportunity, Ryeowook.” His eyes sparkled with hope and although you had a bad feeling about this you didn’t want to crush that hope. So you gave in and also gave yourself a chance to make his family change their opinion of you.
“But why your room? Isn’t better to give me another room?”
“No. I want you to stay by my side all day and night.” He wrapped his arms around your chest, resting his head on your shoulders. “Besides, who knows in what room they’ll throw you in and I want to know you’re safe here and being able to see you when I come from the business trips.”
You giggled at how silly and romantic all this seemed to you, but those words of being away on business trips didn’t let your smile last for too long. You know they may take longer than a week and you curse technology in your mind for not existing an easier way of transportation.
The thought of being accompanied by fairies on those unwanted and lonely days put your heart to ease, but also afraid of what might happen in his absence.

A month has passed and you think you might go insane. Nothing went well since Jongwoon has left to his schedules. You were treated roughly by the servants on the command of Jongwoon’s family, making you do most of the chores in the mansion, leaving no energy to spend some time with the fairies.
Only the Brownies followed you practically everywhere and playing around making you look delusional for trying to make someone go away as you did your chores and talking to yourself. No one believed you when you tried to explain the magical world. They all thought you were insane, talking rubbish not even children believes in these days.
Your body felt weaker and weaker each day. Every night you took refugee in Jongwoon’s room, his scent still present. Eyes stinging from the tears forming but never able to shed, falling into a slumber without even changing your clothes.
The next day wasn’t so different but you were able to go back in the room earlier than usual and it made you skeptical.
When you opened the door and saw Jongwoon rise from the bed you threw yourself at him, skinny arms wrapping around his neck and shed tears you never thought you were holding in. For a moment you felt like your life depended on him, sobbing violently like a child who fell on the street and bruised his knee.
Jongwoon blinked in confusion and tried to make you let go of him to look at you but you were stubborn and didn’t want to let go.
“I missed you so much, Jongwoon.” You sobbed, feeling Jongwoon’s lips curve against your neck followed by a faint chuckle.
“I missed you too.” He replied as he hugged you tightly, none of you wanting to let go too soon.
“I felt so lonely and unwanted.” You continued. Jongwoon took your face in his palms, looking into your eyes.
“What happened, Ryeowook? Did anyone mistreat you? Tell me! I’ll have their head for it!”
“It’s nothing, really. I was just sad, being alone and couldn’t please your family and when I saw you I couldn’t hold my tears from the happiness.” You tried to smile it off so Jongwoon won’t have another fight with his family, especially on the same day he arrived home.
Jongwoon didn’t buy any word you said, considering the worn out clothes you were wearing, but decided to let it be for the day so it won’t make you too uncomfortable.
Days passed and you felt peace like in the nights you two used to meet. His family not bothering you, avoiding one another as much as possible. When you had breakfast or dinner there was silence and everyone ate quickly and left, leaving you and Jongwoon behind.
It didn’t bother you much. As much as you don’t want him to fight with his parents you were just as greedy for having him by your side. You felt guilty but the greed was much more powerful and you didn’t care if one day someone will have your head for it.
Jongwoon didn’t mention his family the time he stayed at home, unless it was necessary.
Even if he was home he still had business to do, but it wasn’t so bad this time, as he arrived until the sun set, taking you out in the garden reminiscing the nights you used to see each other, eventually reuniting with the fairies.
One night, as you rested on the bed with your cheek pressed to his chest, he asked you if you’d come with him at the royal ball The Queen is having again in a few days. You tried to refuse him saying that you have no idea whatsoever how to waltz and Jongwoon insisted in teaching you and that you only have to dance with him because even if you tripped in his feet he’ll be there and if you make a fool out of yourself so will he.
Honestly, your heart could just jump out of your chest there and then. How could this man be so wonderful and not mind if you make a fool of yourself in front of The Queen? Or gossips blooming from the odd pair you’d make.
That is when your greed grew even more and not wanting to let go of him even if your life was at stake.
Jongwoon mocked you in saying that you’d look cute in a gown, with your chest visible, but you destroyed his fantasy by saying that you have nothing to share since you weren’t a girl, stirring laughter and Jongwoon agreed to that, being thankful that he isn’t sharing with the world what is his.

When the day of the royal ball came you where still feeling a little insecure.
You came out wearing a dark tail coat and trousers with a dark waistband, a white bow tie and a shirt with a winged collar. It was the first time you had such formal clothes. Even Jongwoon was a bit shocked to see you so formal, not taking his eyes off of you of how stunning you look.
He gave you the cheesiest compliment he could think of which made you blush and shut his mouth, complimenting him back. He was wearing something similar to you but with a top hat as a bonus. You thought he looked especially breathtaking.
The royal ball went surprisingly well, if you don’t count the few glares from the other guests and Jongwoon’s family.
You also learned that The Queen is very fond of Jongwoon, calling him at almost every hour. You laughed it off, seeing Jongwoon making ugly faces at every call and not wanting to go.
But that didn’t stop him to waltz with you a few times. You were surprised you didn’t trip so far.
You also had a few escapades in the castle’s garden, Jongwoon dragging you practically everywhere and praised you for making his garden much more beautiful than The Queen’s. He thinks it’s probably the reason why The Queen is so fond of him, to have the “secret” behind the beautiful garden his family owned.
Eventually you ended up going home earlier than you had planned, leaving without his family, nor announcing The Queen’s people.
Having the mansion mainly all by yourselves made Jongwoon a little more daring. You think the wine got to your head as well, letting him do whatever he pleased as he waltzed you to his room.
You never planned for this to happen, nor talk about it with Jongwoon. But the way he touched you carefully everywhere it put you at ease. Every butterfly kiss and whisper of your name made you feel like a spoiled princess; you laughed it in your head as you realized what you’ve just thought, knowing that you’d never hear the end of it if you’d tell Jongwoon.
As morning came and the sunbeams illuminates the room you admired Jongwoon’s handsome features in the light and dared to come a little closer, thinking he might still be sleeping. You thought back at the previous night and blushed, whispering I love you getting even more embarrassed and turned your back to get off of bed.
Jongwoon grabbed you by the waist and pulled you back locking you in a tight grip, your back pressed to his chest.
“Where do you think you’re going? You think you can just confess like that and run away?”
He startled you, thinking for sure he was sound asleep.
“I-I thought you were still asleep.” You stuttered.
Jongwoon didn’t reply back, but snuggled in your hair a little more, brushing his lips against your ear and whispering in a tone that you’d rather melt on the spot.
I love you too.

The time for Jongwoon to leave in other towns for business has come again. Of course you weren’t pleased with it, because it meant for you to be alone again and probably other mistreatments from his family. But you stayed quiet and hoped he’d come back as soon as possible.
As you thought, the moment Jongwoon exit the gates his family shoved you in peasant clothes again and made you clean the whole mansion, finishing at midnight. You dropped dead on the bed and fell into a deep slumber.
The next day you did chores in the garden. It was the only thing that made you happy that day since it’s your favorite activity and coming back in the room at a decent hour.
What you didn’t expect was to find the same demon you encountered few months back when Jongwoon was trapped in another dimension.
You were never scared of demons and such so your expression was only of confusion, frowning as you saw him lying on the bed and grinning maliciously at you. Dealing with a demon was the least thing you’d want right now.
“What are you doing here, demon?” you asked, but you honestly couldn’t care less.
“Please do call me Anesi. We’re practically friends now, aren’t we?” You snorted at the demon’s words.
“Friends? I think you’re in the wrong picture. So what is your business here?”
“Fearless as always. I’m here for the object you stole from me.” The demon grinned again.
“If you know me so well you surely know I have nothing from you. Please leave.”
“You caught me. I am here just to pay you a visit and tell you that I cannot wait for the moment humans will believe in the magical world again so I could play with them and gain more beautiful features in my collection. I’m also hoping to add you and your friend to my collection.” The demon waltzed in the room seeming light like a feather and stopping in front of you, face mere inches from yours.
“Don’t you dare touch him!” you growled.
“Oh, that’s right! You are lovers now. And you are also his, body and soul.” The demon chuckled, putting accent on the last sentence.
“Were you spying on us?”
“Oh, maybe. You two are really cute together and I just couldn’t resist.”
“It’s none of your business what we’re doing so please leave now. And don’t put your hopes up so much for the humans, they clearly are not interested in fairies anymore.”
“Ryeowook, I’m shocked! Are you telling me you don’t care if the humans believe or not in the magical world? Jongwoon really changed you.”
“Not…really.” you said in hesitation, biting your lower lip.
The demon approached you, lips mere inches from your ear.
“It’s okay if you can’t make them believe, I can take you in their place. You’d be my priced possession.”
For the first time you felt a fear filling in your throat which made you unable to speak or swallow. The demon left that moment, leaving a burning kiss on your ear.
That night you barely slept. You had terrible nightmares, so in the morning you weren’t that obedient to the master’s requests on the chores, throwing a fit as you couldn’t hold everything in anymore, trying desperately to make them accept your relationship, but to no avail.
They locked you up in a cellar without food or water, only once a week. But you couldn't even eat as your body is covered with bruises, hands raised above your head in chains.
A fairy found you in the end and helped you to eat and drink as much as you could, but the cold and humidity didn’t do you any good. You were starting to have hallucinations of Jongwoon or the fairies when they weren’t near.
You prayed for Jongwoon to come as quick as possible, cried in agony.
After a few more weeks, hallucination after another about Jongwoon, this time it felt much more real. He approached you and consoled you with sweet words you never heard him say before.
You were confused but at the same time couldn’t care less. You just compiled in his words and in his arms, sobbing.
The moment you saw another Jongwoon throwing the one holding you away from you, you knew you were already gone and didn’t have enough strength to appreciate what is actually happening. All you knew is that you saw one of Jongwoon transforming into the demon Anesi. You saw then a glow behind the remaining figure of Jongwoon and thought that it might be one of the fairies.
“Luna? Is that you?” you tried to focus your eyes to see better, but you were too weak to even stand up.
“Yes, Ryeowook, it’s me! Are you alright?” the fairy asked worriedly.
“My head feels like spinning. What is going on? Why did I see two of Jongwoon just now? Did the demon turned into him?”
“No, Ryeowook, you were hallucinating. Your desire to see Jongwoon again made you see him in everyone who came to you and Anesi took advantage of it.” The fairy said as she struggled to release you from the chains.
Jongwoon came to sustain you on your feet, checking if you were alright.
“I told you before to not lay a hand on him and I was dead serious. Leave now and never come back! There is nothing you can take from here.” Jongwoon growled.
“I’ll leave for now, but don’t you think you’ll escape from me that easily the next time we meet.” The demon left with a strong wind behind him, eyes fiery red, full with anger.
All those sleepless nights and hunger got you and before you could say a word you collapsed in Jongwoon’s arms.
Once you opened your eyes again you realized you where in a small and dusty room. You concluded it was your old home, way back in the mansion’s garden where no one dared to come.
When Jongwoon came into the room and saw you trying to get off of bed he rushed over to lie you down again.
“You need to regain strength so it’s better you stay in bed and eat until so. I made you something to eat, with the help of Luna.”
“Eat up, Ryeowook! You need to be healthy again and be the sunshine you always were.” The fairy flied around in excitement.
“But why are we here, Jongwoon?” you looked at him worried. Jongwoon sighed and smiled.
“I won’t go back home. My family has gone too far and I can’t do as they please if they can’t even consider a simple wish. And don’t you dare try to make me change my mind. I already made this decision and we’re going to be just fine by ourselves here or move somewhere else along with the fairies. Alright?” Jongwoon said as he consoled you, kissing your forehead.
Your eyes were watery from everything that had happened and how Jongwoon sacrificed himself for you. You couldn’t be happier or ask for more. Jongwoon said you are silly for crying because of this and that he’ll always be by your side.
You both knew life won’t be a luxury anymore, being runaways and a demon promising his revenge. But you couldn’t care less and enjoyed it as much as possible.
