Title: Old Flames
Pairing: Yesung/Ryeowook (with some ninja?MiQian)
Rating: R (for a short bed scene)
Word count: 5,000
Warnings: other than the short bed scene, I don't think so.
Summary: When ex-lovers are reunited in a place where they both have fond memories of.
A/N: It's been a long time, guys. Sorry >~< I deserve to be hanged. Well, I hope you'll enjoy this one. I read mangas (a lot) so I made a YeWook version of one and added my own imagination... Also I hope you'll excuse the lame and how it's not edited (I feel like I'm writing for the first time in my life and didn't want to bother my lab rat). You can punch me virtually.
Being a teacher is something Ryeowook never thought he’d see himself become. But despite all his tries and efforts in becoming a composer he found this job quite fun and effective in keeping himself busy. That is until he spots a long time “friend” in the hallways, after he finishes his class and going to the teachers’ lounge where he sees one of his colleagues and best friend, rushing to her side, trying to keep his voice low.
“Why is Jongwoon here?” Ryeowook startled the gym teacher, Victoria.
“Who?”
“Jongwoon. You know, the guy I was seeing back in high school.”
“Wow, he’s here?” Victoria asked enthusiastically. “This is our chance to finally meet him. Zhoumi, come here! Quick! Ryeowook’s old crush is here!”
Ryeowook forgot that his friends never saw Jongwoon, they only knew him through his stories.
“Where? Where?” Zhoumi, the art teacher, rushed over to their side when he heard the news. “Oh, by the way, wasn’t today the day a new teacher would arrive? What if it’s Jongwoon?!”
“What?”
“Did you forget? A new teacher was supposed to arrive today.”
~
“… also before this meeting ends I want to let you all know that a new teacher will be coming next week and I hope you all will welcome him nicely. You heard that, Heechul?”
“What? What have I done wrong to deserve this, Principal Leeteuk? I’ve always been an angel to all my colleagues!”
“Yeah right, just like how you played pranks to all the new teachers.”
“But playing pranks is to show them they are welcome and know we have a sense of humour!”
“You heard me, Heechul, no pranks and that’s final.”
“Fine…” Heechul pouted. Looking to his right he saw Ryeowook dozing off and pinched his thighs to wake him up.
“W-what? Is the meeting over?” Heechul laughed hard.
“Leeteuk just announced we’re going to have a new teacher coming soon so treat him nicely.”
“Ah, okay…” Ryeowook responded mindlessly.
~
“Oh.” Ryeowook realized he completely forgot about it. But now that is the least he would care at the moment. Right now he only wants to know what is Jongwoon doing in this school. Now that he thought of it, what would he do if Jongwoon actually is the new teacher?
Ryeowook had a great past with Jongwoon in their high school days, being best friends then lovers, but once they graduated they lost contact and never saw each other again. Until today.
“Don’t worry, Ryeowook, we got your back!” Victoria tried to cheer Ryeowook up and Zhoumi patted Ryeowook’s back.
All the teachers have been called in the teachers’ lounge to introduce the new teacher to them and to Ryeowook’s bad luck, it was Jongwoon. Seeing his ex-boyfriend again after so many years only made his heart pound like crazy and getting sweaty palms.
Seeing him like that, Victoria stretched her arm around Ryeowook’s neck and bumped her head lightly on Ryeowook’s head.
“As you all know, today we were expecting a new teacher so please welcome the new biology teacher, Kim Jongwoon!” Principal Leeteuk started. “These are our little but precious and very capable teachers.” He turned to Jongwoon, then started introducing the teachers one by one. “Kim Heechul, the eccentric English teacher. Watch out for him, he’s a prankster.”
“Don’t go ruining my reputation, Principal Leeteuk. I’m a delicate flower and your words hurt me deeply.” Heechul said dramatically then extended his arm to Jongwoon. “Nice to meet you, Kim Jongwoon! I hope we’ll be good buddies from today on.” He smiled wickedly.
“I hope so, too.” Jongwoon smiled back.
“Zhoumi, the art teacher.” Leeteuk continued.
“Nice to meet you, Jongwoon. I hope you’ll like this school and enjoy our company.”
“As much as I’ve seen in this school I already like it. Thanks.”
“Victoria, the gym teacher.”
“It’s finally nice to meet you, Jongwoon! Me and Zhoumi heard so much about you!” Victoria let go of Ryeowook to shake Jongwoon’s hand a little too enthusiastic.
“Really?”
“Yes! You have no idea for how long we’ve wanted to see the man who-” Victoria was interrupted by Ryeowook’s elbow in her ribs and Leeteuk continued with the introductions.
“Our music teacher-”
“Kim Ryeowook … it’s nice to see you again.” Jongwoon smiled and shook Ryeowook’s hand. Ryeowook couldn’t give a reply because looking into Jongwoon’s black pools always made him unable to respond to his surroundings. Trying to lie to himself that everything happening at the moment is only a dream and Jongwoon is not actually in front of him, still holding his hand. A sound of someone clearing their throat made Ryeowook go back to reality and slowly taking his hand back from Jongwoon’s grip and lowered his head.
“Yeah…”
“Oh, you know each other?” Leeteuk asked.
“Uh, yeah, we’re…old buddies from high school.” Jongwoon replied almost absentmindedly.
“Well then that’s good, now I won’t have to worry you won’t fit in with the rest since Ryeowook is everyone’s favorite.”
“Of course he is.” Jongwoon smiled.
Just when Ryeowook was about to panic what to do to escape this situation the school’s bell rang and Victoria took him away.
“Uh, I’ll see you around…”
“Yeah.”
In the hallway, on their way to their classes, Victoria whispered to Ryeowook. “Ryeowook, how could you let this hot man go? He’ll totally have a lot of admirers here, not to mention when the other teachers will see him.”
“I told you how it went, Vic…”
Victoria let go of Ryeowook and watched as he moved toward his class. “And I told you how much of a stupid decision that was” she shouted.
“I so hope it wasn’t …” Ryeowook mumbled.
When he reached the class he had to teach, the students were all dying to know who the new teacher is and if he is cool or not. Ryeowook didn’t want to answer any questions and insisted that school is for learning, not crushing on teachers.
When Ryeowook got home he didn’t have much of an appetite and just went to bed, thinking that this is all a dream and everything will be back to normal when he wakes up.
~
The moment Ryeowook stepped into the teachers’ lounge after the first class and saw Jongwoon chatting with Zhoumi and Victoria he knew that what happened yesterday wasn’t a dream and groaned. Just when he was about to exit and go early to his next class Victoria spotted him and invited him to join them. Ryeowook waved his hands and apologized through his eyes and went to his class, avoiding the person he doesn’t want to talk to the most.
“I swear that guy is so hard to handle sometimes.”
Jongwoon chuckled.
This is Jongwoon’s first day as a teacher since yesterday was only to get familiar with the surroundings and colleagues. When he entered one of the classes Ryeowook teaches he was also attacked by many questions.
“Good morning, students. I am your new biology teacher, Kim Jongwoon. I hope we won’t have problems in the future and I also hope you’ll find this subject interesting and fun. ”
“Teacher Jongwoon is it true that you and teacher Ryeowook are long time friends?” a girl asked.
Jongwoon laughed. “Am I here to teach you guys something or to report my personal life?”
“To report your personal life!” the students laughed. “We want to know everything about you and teacher Ryeowook. Everyone loves him, even if he’s weird sometimes.”
“Oh? Weird? Why do you say that?”
“Well sometimes he’s unbearably strict, or sometimes he would have this gloomy face and looks at the window and we take advantage to try and copy on his tests but he still knows who cheated. Sometimes we wonder if he’s psychic. Also there are times he’s happy and would spoil us or sings for us. He has such a beautiful voice.”
“Okay okay, I see you have a lot to talk about so how about this. Since this is my first day I will do whatever you want, but tomorrow on you’ll have to do what I say. Deal?”
“Deal! Teacher Ryeowook doesn’t talk about himself so we really want to know as much as possible, please?”
“Okay, I guess you can say we’re long time friends. I don’t know if he’s weird but he was always strict even with me, but I liked teasing him and once you get to know him he’s really gentle and clingy. Both of us didn’t have friends except for each other so I guess we learned to cling to one another and seek for help. I also thought he was really pretty” Jongwoon smiled warmly when talking about the past. “Now he’s gorgeous.” He mumbled.
“Did you … like him?” a girl tried to pry.
“Who doesn’t like Ryeowook?”
“Yes but…the look on your face when you talk about him says it’s a different kind of like.”
Jongwoon laughed. “Youngsters these days are really smart, aren’t they?” he paused and replied in a teasing tone “Maybe.”
After a few more questions and just before the bell rang the students asked one more question that made Jongwoon’s smile fade.
“Wow I never thought teacher Ryeowook has so many sides. We should use this new information to tease him too.”
“I think it’s better if we let this between us, okay?”
“Okay… By the way, what happened after you graduated? Why didn’t the two of you kept contact?”
“I don’t know…” Jongwoon lowered his head in thoughts and when the bell rang he raised his head again and said his goodbye for the day.
At the teachers’ lounge Jongwoon spotted Ryeowook happily chatting with Zhoumi and Victoria and couldn’t help but feel a little pain in his chest. He hasn’t spoken a word to Ryeowook since yesterday and wants to talk to him so badly and ask him things, things he wanted to know all these years since they graduated. Why did Ryeowook left him and why did Ryeowook made love to him on their last day they saw each other.
When he was about to go toward the three he was stopped by Heechul. “Hey Jongwoon, we have a tradition to make a welcoming party to the new teachers so you’d better be free this Saturday and honor us with your presence.”
“Sure, I’ll come.” He tried to smile. “Will…everyone come?”
“Of course! Even Leeteuk. He really likes knowing all the new teachers. I just hope Ryeowook won’t keep you away from us too much.” Heechul sneered.
“Ah…” If only that would happen, but considering their situation Jongwoon can only imagine Ryeowook keeping his distance.
“Yo, ma people, listen up! This Saturday we’re having Jongwoon’s welcoming party so don’t make any plans and bring the booze!” Heechul shouted.
“What, no food?” Zhoumi shouted back.
“Fine, you can bring that too. But the booze is essential to make this guy spit all his embarrassing childhood memories.”
“I think we can find that out just by asking Ryeowook alone.”
Everyone laughed but only the two in discussion were feeling a little awkward.
~
When the day of the party came, Ryeowook was unsure if he should attend or not but Zhoumi and Victoria dragged him along saying that he can’t run away from Jongwoon forever and this could be a chance to settle things.
They all came to a place reserved by Heechul close to the school so they won’t get lost on their way home for being too drunk.
Jongwoon came last, dressed in a white shirt, tight pants and a leather jacket with his hair ruffled a little, as Heechul requested it and told everyone to come dressed in their best “party clothes” they have in their houses.
“Ooh, Jongwoon, who’d know you could pull off such a sexy image. Very good. I think this suits you better than the suit at work.”
Jongwoon smiled and looked around at the others, observing the different clothes everyone is wearing other than their working clothes and probably Victoria is the most shocking one by wearing a short red dress and her hair neatly styled unlike the jumpsuit and ponytail he’s used to seeing almost every day at school. His heart skipped a beat when he spotted Ryeowook, surprised how good the latter could look in a simple pair of jeans and a red and white knitted sweater with the hair tossed on one side, bangs almost completely covering one of the eyes.
To Heechul’s disappointment, he couldn’t get Jongwoon to talk much about himself, or at least not the things he wanted to hear. Half of the guests were drunk enough to not care anymore.
Seeing an empty spot next to Ryeowook, guessing someone went to the bathroom or moved elsewhere, he rushed over to Ryeowook’s side, the latter apparently not noticing.
“Hey.” Jongwoon tried to start a conversation. Ryeowook didn’t even look his way and replied coldly.
“Hi…”
After a short silence and just as Jongwoon wanted to continue speaking Ryeowook interrupted him. “What are you doing here, Jongwoon?”
“What would you say if I told you that I looked for you all this time and when I finally found you I came here?” Jongwoon said in a teasing tone.
That moment Ryeowook finally turned to meet Jongwoon’s eyes but had a serious expression on his face.
“I’m just joking. Lighten up.” Jongwoon laughed.
Ryeowook turned his gaze back to his drink. “It’s not funny.”
“Sorry. It was a coincidence that I came here. Really.”
“Oh…”
Jongwoon took advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention to them and pressed his hand over Ryeowook’s. “I missed you.”
“What are you doing? There are people here.”
“It’s okay, no one cares about us. They’re too drunk to notice.” They went through another silence before being interrupted by their now drunk colleagues, Jongwoon was taken away but all evening his eyes were on Ryeowook drowning himself in alcohol.
When they had to leave everyone agreed this was the first time they saw Ryeowook getting drunk, usually being able to control his alcohol. Jongwoon suggested to take the latter home.
On the way to Ryeowook’s apartment Jongwoon carried Ryeowook on his back laughing at the fact that the latter actually got drunk.
“Where do you live, Ryeowook?” Jongwoon tried to wake the latter up. As much as he’d want to take Ryeowook to his place he didn’t want to meet an angry Ryeowook in the morning.
“It’s none of your business, I can go home by myself.” Ryeowook mumbled behind Jongwoon’s ears.
“In the state you’re in you wouldn’t be able to get there and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be taken to my place.” Ryeowook groaned and eventually told Jongwoon where he lives.
When they reached the building Ryeowook lives in, Jongwoon realized he lives only two blocks away from Ryeowook and wonders how he never saw the latter on the bus or met near the school gates.
As he tried to open Ryeowook’s apartment door, Ryeowook kept mumbling for Jongwoon to go home and that he doesn’t need help anymore. But Jongwoon would have none of that and insisted on making sure Ryeowook is in bed and then he could finally leave. They stumbled into Ryeowook’s room and landed on the bed, Jongwoon then taking Ryeowook’s shoes off and placing him better on the bed. Just when he was about to leave he heard a faint moan of his name from Ryeowook. He turned back to the bed and sat next to Ryeowook.
“What is it? Do you need anything?”
Ryeowook slowly tried to raise himself up to Jongwoon’s level, eyes being hazy from all the alcohol and face too close to Jongwoon’s. “Yes. I need you.” Ryeowook grasped Jongwoon’s lips in a feverish kiss, Jongwoon tasting the different kinds of alcohol Ryeowook drank, feeling like he could get drunk just from kissing Ryeowook.
“W-Wait, Ryeowook, I don’t think this is okay.” Jongwoon tried to get away.
“But I want you…”
“Now you want me…a minute ago you were fighting me to go home as soon as possible.”
It only made Ryeowook curl his fingers around Jongwoon’s neck and initiate another deep kiss. “Please. Make me yours.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Don’t you want me anymore?”
“You have no idea how much I’d want to accept your tempting offer but I wouldn’t want to have trouble in the morning when you’ll be sober.”
“Please Jongwoon, make me yours again.”
“Seriously how much did you drink?”
Ryeowook chuckled. “Enough so I can do this.” He started to pull on Jongwoon’s shirt to have more access at his neck and kiss him.
Jongwoon couldn’t take it anymore and took advantage of the situation, throwing all cautions out the window. “Don’t blame me tomorrow.” Jongwoon run his fingers under Ryeowook’s sweater and slowly undressed him, covering Ryeowook’s upper body with kisses while placing his head on the pillow.
Jongwoon always loved Ryeowook’s soft moans in his ear whenever he touched the latter, even if most of them were pleas to stop, but Jongwoon knew Ryeowook liked being touched no matter how much he insisted on not liking it.
The touch of Ryeowook’s skin on his lips again makes Jongwoon nostalgic and drunk at the same time since he got to do it only once, a long time ago, forgetting about his own clothes until Ryeowook pulls at his shirt again, trying to take it off. Jongwoon got up to take it off himself and as he barely got to throw the shirt on the floor a desperate pair of arms wrapped round him pulled him back to an equally desperate kiss.
A desperate Ryeowook was something Jongwoon didn’t know and started to wonder if the latter changed all these years and possibly someone other than him has been doing this to Ryeowook in his absence. That mere thought made Jongwoon jealous enough to cloud his mind and be a little rougher, harshly whispering into Ryeowook’s ear.
“Has someone else beside me been into your room?”
“Only Zhoumi and Victoria. Why..?” Ryeowook tried to answer normally, but having Jongwoon so near to his ear, not aware of how sensible he is to Jongwoon’s husky voice in his ear.
“Really now? Did you also do this with them? Or just Victoria?” Jongwoon said as he made his way to Ryeowook’s groin.
“What are you talking about?” Ryeowook tried to keep himself as sane as a drunk can be from Jongwoon’s insistent whispers and hard breaths in his ears.
“I saw you two being close to each other. A little too close.” Ryeowook couldn’t take more of the pressure against his crotch and that voice Jongwoon emanates and comes on the spot. Jongwoon looked at his hand covered in cum and chuckled. “It felt that good, just being touched? Or were you thinking how Victoria did you?”
Ryeowook waited to even his breath before replying to Jongwoon. “Zhoumi and Victoria are in love with each other, dimwit, we never had that kind of relationship. And sorry I came so fast but you whispering in my ear really turns me on and I haven’t got laid since that time so give me a break!” When he saw Jongwoon looking at him with a lost pair of eyes he pulled the latter again in a soft kiss. “And I’m in love with you.”
The cloud of jealousy in Jongwoon’s head cleared out and now all he feels is shame and guilt. “I’m sorry…” he said as he pressed his forehead against Ryeowook’s.
Ryeowook wrapped his fingers around Jongwoon’s neck and let out a soft chuckle. “Weren’t you supposed to reply with a ‘I love you too’?”
“I do love you. Loved you all these years and always will.” Thinking that Ryeowook wouldn’t want to continue anymore he nuzzled into Ryeowook’s neck, kissing the spot lightly.
Ryeowook switched positions, now being on top of Jongwoon and sucking on the latter’s lower lip. “I’m not done yet. I want you even more now.”
“Then you better be ready for a long sleepless night.” Jongwoon smirked.
~
This is the first time Jongwoon gets to wake up next to Ryeowook and watch the latter as he sleeps, with a messy hair and an obviously tired look on his face, and still thinks he’s prettier than he used to be. Just as he wanted to peck Ryeowook’s cheek and get the hair out of way he heard Ryeowook grumble and tossing to one side or another, eventually slowly opening his eyes.
“Mornin’!” Jongwoon said with a smile.
Ryeowook’s eyes were still hazy from all the alcohol he had the other day and couldn’t figure the shape next to him, thinking he’d either got some random guy on the streets or worse, a woman. “Mornin’…?”
“It’s almost 12PM but for us it’s still morning.”
After hearing the same voice again and realizes it matches Jongwoon’s he lifted his head and opened his eyes quickly to have a better look at the person next to him, remembering the day before and the shock he got made Ryeowook’s head hurt like crazy and groaned loudly, which made Jongwoon a little worried.
“Are you okay? Does it hurt too much?”
“Ugh…how much did I drink?”
“You don’t wanna know …”
“Then what are you doing here…and in my bed?”
“I don’t think you wanna know that either…”
“Stop playing games and tell me.”
“Okay … You got too drunk so I carried you home and when we got here you started being all horny and didn’t let me go.”
“What?!” Ryeowook shouted and raised his head, causing his headache to attack again.
Jongwoon felt apologetic for the headaches but smirked and leaned to whisper in Ryeowook’s ear. “I didn’t know you were so horny and clingy in bed.”
“I am not!” Ryeowook tried to get his ear away from Jongwoon but to no avail.
“You also told me how my voice in your ear turns you on, and other dirty things.”
“Oh God…!” Ryeowook buried his face in his pillow.
“Or how you kept moaning my name throughout our love-making sessions.”
“Please shut up!”
Jongwoon couldn’t help but laugh at the moment and thought how this is not far from how they were back in high school. He didn’t want to ask Ryeowook but because of this moment and thinking back at the things Ryeowook said last night couldn’t keep him away from wanting to know what exactly happened to them.
“Ryeowook…why did you leave me? With no contacts available and moving out of your parents’ home…”
He waited for an answer for what seemed like the longest time. “Ryeowook…?”
“It’s none of your business.” Ryeowook muffled in his pillow.
“Of course it’s my business! We were together that time! You even made love to me on our graduation day, begging for it like you did last night, and left me the next day without a warning for 7 years. Why?”
Ryeowook turned his head on the other side of the bed where he can’t see Jongwoon and said that he doesn’t want to say anything. In that moment Jongwoon got angry and placed himself on top of Ryeowook, making the latter to face him properly, binding his arms.
“Tell me!”
“I-I can’t! And don’t stay naked on top of me, idiot!”
“In care you didn’t notice, so are you. And I won’t get off you until you spill everything.”
“B-But I … you might say I was stupid or laugh at me or something.”
“Try me.”
Ryeowook hesitated a little to reply, squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath. “Okay … Your mother came to me a week before our graduation and told me to disappear from your life, that you needed to marry a good wife and I’ll be a burden. At first I didn’t want to subdue to her request but I know how much you love your mother and I didn’t want for you two to be in conflict because of me … so I left.” He looked up at Jongwoon to see if he was looked at back with hate, disappointment or anything negative.
“That’s it?”
“Yes..?”
Finally hearing what he wanted to know all these years, Jongwoon plopped himself on Ryeowook’s chest and exhaled heavily. “Thank goodness. I thought I did something bad and had no idea.”
“Sorry…”
Jongwoon laughed. “Please don’t do that ever again.”
“But your mother…”
“Don’t worry about her, she’s okay with it now after seeing me depressed for years and moving out of the house just so I can be alone.”
“I’m really sorry…”
Jongwoon raised his head to look at Ryeowook and gave him a peck on the lips and smiled. “Hey, I told you it’s fine now.”
“Yes but it’s still my fault you had to go through such hardships, although I wasn’t much of a happy person for a period either…”
“You were missing me too, didn’t you?” Jongwoon chuckled.
“Who would miss you?!” Ryeowook was too embarrassed to admit.
“Do you want the scratches on my back from last night to show you how much you missed me?” Jongwoon sneered.
“Oh God!” Ryeowook tried to hide his embarrassment in his palms but Jongwoon only laughed at his reaction and kissed his hands.
After they talked a little more and showered Ryeowook made his way in the kitchen to make breakfast, even though it was way past breakfast time. After Jongwoon got out of the shower he snuck in the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Ryeowook’s waist and kissed him at the back of his neck.
“It’s been so long since I tasted my Ryeowookie’s cooking.”
“And you’re as shameless as ever. Go put some pants on at least.”
“So mean…” Jongwoon pouted.
~
On Monday everyone agreed that something was different about Jongwoon and Ryeowook but could put their finger on it yet. After second period, when everyone gathered in the teachers’ lounge Victoria decided to take a step ahead and ask Ryeowook what happened.
“Ryeowook has something happened to you..?”
“Why do you ask..?”
“Well, I don’t know how to say this but you look…prettier than usually.”
“What are you talking about..?”
“It’s like that, isn’t it Zhoumi?”
“It is. Victoria is right, and you seem more cheerful, too.”
“Hey, what’s up?” Jongwoon barged in their discussion with a grin on his face.
“Jongwoon is awfully smiley as well. Did something good happen to the both of you?” Zhoumi frowned in confusion.
Victoria caught a glimpse of Ryeowook trying not to look at Jongwoon and having his ears a bright shade of red. “Wait! Don’t tell me you guys finally made up!?” she shrieked.
“Lower your voice, Vic!” Ryeowook pulled at her hand.
“Sorry, but it’s really great! Such good news should be celebrated with few drinks, right Zhoumi?!”
“No no no, no more drinks. I don’t want to hear about alcohol for a long time.”
Jongwoon sighed. “And I was hoping to see your cute side and be clingy again.”
That costed Jongwoon an elbow from Ryeowook. “You shut up already, we’re at work. Don’t say or do unnecessary things.” Jongwoon only laughed and stirred the other two as well.
“Hey, how about going on a double date some time soon?” suggested Victoria.
“I think it would be fun, right Ryeowook?” smiled Jongwoon.
“Then it’s settled! Let’s go after the tests session are over.”
When classes started again and everyone had to leave except for Jongwoon, having an hour free before taking over the class Ryeowook went to now, he decided to follow the latter. Reaching the classroom door he stood there watching Ryeowook passionately teaching the students, and how lovely his voice sounds whenever he’d sing a few melodies, falling in love all over again.
Just as Ryeowook finished demonstrating how a score should sound and everyone clapped whenever they felt their teacher sung especially beautiful, he smiled shyly and unconsciously looked at the door, seeing Jongwoon inside the classroom, clapping along with the students.
“What are you doing here, teacher Jongwoon?” Ryeowook tried to seem serious again.
“Couldn’t help but be attracted of a beautiful voice I heard in the hallway.” Jongwoon smiled.
“Uuuuh”
“Teacher Jongwoon, did you and teacher Ryeowook reconcile?”
“I guess you can say that.”
“Did you say unnecessary things to the students as well?” Ryeowook glared at Jongwoon.
“No..?” Jongwoon tried not to seem suspicious.
“Teacher Jongwoon also agrees that teacher Ryeowook has a beautiful voice, right?”
“Of course!”
“This guy has a better voice, if you ask me. I don’t even understand how he got to be a teacher, not to mention a biology teacher.” Ryeowook pointed at Jongwoon.
“Ah, I think it’s because it keeps me close to my most favorite memory and I like studying the beauty of nature.” Jongwoon smiled at Ryeowook, making the latter speechless.
“Teacher Jongwoon can sing too? Can we please listen to a duet?” the students pleaded the two teachers.
Jongwoon looked apologetically at Ryeowook and shrugged, making the latter unable to decline. “Okay, but one song. Okay?”
After they finished the song, the students were too quiet from how they usually were, making the two teachers a little worried. They were still digesting the harmonies they heard from their two beloved teachers and didn’t know how to express what they’ve felt, except for a long and astonished ‘woooow’.
Ryeowook didn’t want to feel even more embarrassed than he already was and told Jongwoon to come back when class is over and it’s his turn.
At the teachers’ lounge, just before Jongwoon taking over Ryeowook’s place in the previous class, Zhoumi and Victoria caught the two having a meaningless argue about how Jongwoon should keep the private stuff private and at work it can only be work related. But they saw Jongwoon only stirring Ryeowook more and getting either slapped or punched whenever Ryeowook thought it wasn’t appropriate for work and still laughing about it.
“Yup, he’s a masochist…”
