I feel so stupid about this, but is it wrong that I'm scared to death of walking across the icy/snowy parking lot in to work tonight?

Hell, I'm even dreading cleaning my car off.

Not wrong at all. And I'll second what Morrigans_eve said. Go get a pair. I live in New England. And those are the only way I manage to not end up on my ass with more damage done to my damned back every winter.

I actually have a pair, mom got them for me this Christmas. My boots actually have really good tread, I just wasn't sure I was going to be able to get them on last night. My problem is putting them on my shoes right now with my whole back is massively screwed thing I've got going on right now. Well getting them on, that wouldn't be the problem. It would be the taking off. And they plowed the lot as I was coming back from dinner break. I just kind of scooted across it on my way to my car this morning. But they will be getting a workout, that I'm sure of.
