You need to really look into the machine you choose to buy, whichever. For example, the Toyota Priuses were having problems where they were locking up on the highway, and they can't explain what it was/what caused it, or even guarantee they fixed it.

Also, beware of what options come with it. Lots of cars especially that high end are coming with options like Bluetooth. There have been some stories on slashdot, but the short of it is that no one has managed to significantly hack Bluetooth yet, but it is a definite possibility - there are Bluetooth phone viruses.

It was locking up due to an OS problem, if I recall correctly. I believe it's been fixed since.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Bluetooth; most hacks/viruses that have been performed haven't hit Bluetooth directly, only using it as the medium for transportation. (Then again, I'm not exactly sure what the advantage of having Bluetooth on your car is, but they'd hopefully require paired devices and confirmation on the inside before doing anything remotely dangerous.)
