So john Roberts was sworn in today. That single act has the potential to affect this country for decades to come. I pray that he is as good as they are touting him to be. He sounds like the most level headed person that has found their way to that court in many decades.

Yeah, it's all a tactic to have Bush implement his ideals for a longer time on the Supreme Court, which by the way, the courts are supposed to be non-partisan, but alas they're not. So yeah, I could see him as a justice but not Chief Justice, nah. However, he is the President and he does have the power to do that, darn those checks and balances! LOL

I think all liberals have a knee-jerk reaction to this guy simply because he was nominated by Bush. But from all I've heared and read about him, I cannot honestly say I think he is partisan or will rule in such a way. I have yet to see one thing that indicates that at all ( ... )
