Your garden sounds lovely. Miniature Neon Cowboy? That sounds like something Speck would love.
RAH RAH one whole sock of Lalandra yarn is done! I need to find the digital camera so I can show you!

Speck would TOTALLY love Miniature Neon Cowboy. It is WEE, and very bright. True blood-scarlet and sun-yellow, with dark green leaves, and it blooms from June straight into October, even in Minnesota. And, of course, it is named Miniature Neon Cowboy.

That's one of the trees I talked about - it's black locust, Robinia pseudoacacia. The honey locust has the pinnate leaves and big pods, but the flowers are tiny and green. Not much to look at, but they smell heavenly.
I was just in St. Louis, and the basswood and lindens * are blooming, smelling wonderful - sweet, but with a citrus-y freshness. And humming with bees.
Love you!
Mom
*same genus, different species - they look the same, except one has big leaves, one has small.
