Oh, wow, you navigated setbacks with remarkable grace. The plane and bank stuff - ugh. Apartment-shopping in Portland is heck'a confusing. Many places around here do month-to-month rent or short leases at no penalty, so there is always that...if you aren't sure and think you might decide to move later.
