 It's still winter, going by the sunlight, but according to the temperatures, it's spring.  It's beautiful out.

Portland doesn't really have a winter; it has two-month burning green summers where the pavement ripples and the sidewalks dry out an hour after the rainfall, and then a slow, still-lush metamorphosis into building-height bouquets of ( Read more... )

...Wow. That is the most poetic way I've ever seen anyone describe Portland's weather. (It is kind of lovely here, in its strange way, isn't it?)

This winter and the one before are unusually a mild. Two winters ago it was INTENSE with the piles of snow. ...Guess we can't count this winter yet, though... there's still time for it to snow in the next couple of weeks.

Mmmmm... yeah. It's seed time.

Too bad it's 9 here, and more snow is falling, but... I miss the NW. *laughs softly* I know my in-laws in Seattle are planting already...
