I think I'm going to take Chinese 101 next year. I know there's no way I'm ever going to be able to speak it, but just to learn about it would be cool. Plus a need to broaden my horizons and step outside of Japan

Hmm not sure yet. I really didn't look at the schedule much, but it was something that crossed my mind. What section are you thinking of?

I was playing soccer with some of my students the other day, and every time the scored a goal or something, one of the kids would yell, "Oh my Gackt!".

I have asked all the kids, including the boy in question if they like Gackt...they all say "no".

They are all middle school kids though.

I'm not surprised at all. Gackt's popularity only rests in his image and his eccentricities. His music makes oricon charts top 10 for the first few days and then quickly drops. Also, most people find him too weird, especially in comparision to those who are really popular right now. Still, his live concerts always do exceedingly well and he's always in demand for photshoots, advertisements, interviews, and the like. In fact, just recently it was announced that Gackt will be playing the role of Uesugi Kenshin in NHK's Taiga Drama for 2007. This year, He'll be touring South Korea, China, and Taiwan in addtion to Japan as well... something he's been getting a lot of publicity for (so I'm guessing it's not something commonly done).

i cant get any of them to fit in a decent schedule
