This has been a big topic on the net lately. I'm sure some of you have heard about the Gosperats. They're a Japanese band formed by two members of the Gospellers and three members of Rats and Star. So what about them that's bringing to to the spot light? This. Have you noticed what they're wearing? Did you know they also perform that way live too?

I've seen people do black face on Japanese variety shows as well. I couldn't believe my eyes at first. Racial sensitivity is not a known concept here and Japan almost lives on stereptypes. You'd be suprised some of the misconceptions that are well entrenched. "All Americans eat KFC for Christmas, right?". Cest La Vie.

I eat fried rice for Christmas... just kiddin. It would've been easier on my eyes if they weren't painted black. It's sad that they have such stereotypes, but at the same time it gives them that ability to somehow maintain their styles and traditions that's unique only to Japan.

I agree Chase, you get the brilliant ideas way after presentations are done. Great timing on that.

Yeaaaah. Japan and a lot of Asian countries in general are so homogeneous that "racism" is a given and it goes without conscious commentary in the culture.
Chinese cultures are like this too...
