That. Was. Awesome.

Whoever said there would be less at stake during Moffat's finale than in Davies' was wrong. Because that conclusion was just about up there with, "It's too late. I'm regenerating." Maybe even over that, to be honest, but I'm partial to Stolen Earth anyway because of the characters.

LOL I'm comparing it to the Stolen Earth cliffhanger as well and I think they're just too different. I mean in my heart of hearts I knew Ten wasn't regenerating because we'd know if David Tennant was leaving the show, and I figured the hand-inna-jar would be relevant, I just didn't know how... but I still cared because OMG TEN and OMG ROSE and all that. Whereas this, I'm not so much like OMG RIVER or OMG RORY or OMG AMY because I'm like, well the whole universe blew up so obviously there will be a big retcon. But I have NO IDEA where that retcon is coming from. It's probably very similar to how I would've felt between Sound of Drums and LOTL if I'd had to wait a week ( ... )

Being a sucker for spoilers, I'd seen filming pictures of David in the brown suit and blue suit on the beach beforehand, so I knew Ten wasn't leaving and even had a pretty good idea that he was going to get split in two, but that cliffhanger hit me pretty hard anyway. Because, like you said, it was Ten and Rose and everyone else I cared about and I was dying to know what happened to them. I've seen spoilers for next week's episode too, and of course we know that the universe is going to come back somehow, but I think since I'm less attatched to the characters it's easier for me to wait to see what happens this time.

Yeah, Amy's house doesn't make sense... didn't Prisoner Zero escape through the crack in her wall? It came through from one place to another, and didn't get erased. And Rory in this episode was an Auton, but in Rose the Doctor said they needed to keep Mickey alive to sustain the copy of him, so either Rory is still out there and wasn't totally erased, or the producers have forgotten that little tidbit.
