it has nothing to do with which is worse. the point is that you are forcing smoke upon people who do not want to smoke. whereas with liquor that is up to the individual to drink or not. its just NOT the same thing. its a bad argument in my opinion. ;)

No one is forcing you to go places where things occur that you do not like.
I do not require local or national government to create laws to govern things like smoking because I, as an individual have free will to make my own decisions about where I will and will not go.
I don't like crack, so I'm not hanging out at a crack house. People who don't like smoke, can MAKE A CHOICE to not go to the bar if it is that huge of an issue. Smokers MAKE A CHOICE to smoke.
It's called personal responsibility. There are several non-smoking bars in Chicago. Make a choice to go there. I'm sure if demand dictated it, there would be more.
I don't really want to discuss this with you anymore though, because its just an agree to disagree situation and I really dont think it is worth it to get into a fight over smoking laws.
