This story is AWESOME! Dean and his crew are perfect pirates, Castiel makes a perfect Commondore, and the kiss interupted by the BOOM is EPIC!

The banter on the ship is pitch-perfect (teehee Captain Idjit) and this world you have the Supernatural cast set in really can let their personalities stay in character.

I vote for option 3: because Castiel saved Dean from Hell. A previous comment mentioned Castiel captaining Dean's "well-meaning-but-insane crew" (paraphrased) and I think that is amazing.

But I understand the fear of keeping Castiel and Dean seperated from one another to long, so if you somehow intergrated supernatural elements you can have Castiel and Dean interact via dreams or something.

I LOVE THIS STORY! I am so excited to see where it goes.

I know! That's what I thought and I can't understand why there aren't more Dean/Cas pirate!AUs around. As a genre, it's so compatible with SPN.

I really appreciate your advice and the idea of supernatural elements is definitely something to take into consideration.

So am I! ;-) I've begun writing the second part and it has already gone off course. I just hope I don't end up hopelessly at sea. We'll see what happens!

omg, this fic is brilliant! the way you keep everyone in character is amazing! and the UST! NGGGHHHH!

I think I would love #2 - Dean saving Cas for a change, showing how single minded and ruthless he can get when HIS Cas gets captured! :DD Would love to see the crew's face when he comes back on the ship all "RESCUE. CAS. NAO." XD

Heh, you paint a fun picture. We'll see what happens. I've written about 3/4 of the second part and I'm not sure what's happening, but it isn't what I'd planned, so anything's possible. ;-)
