sunday may eighteenth was document your day in photographs day. so, i did. i also photographed my friday and saturday, at least parts of it so we can start there.

friday:

friday i had the day off work, in the morning i awoke to malloreigh and britt in the kitchen making tofu scramble and coffee. everyone got up early so we could sit out in the sunshine on the staircase. it was beautiful. malloreigh walked to work that morning and britt stuck around for a little bit before she had to go to work as well. i spent the rest of the morning making chapatis, cooking quinoa, slicing veggies and making some sort of mustard sauce for my picnic with malloreigh.

i met her at the park at eighth and columbia and we sat in the sunshine looking at snow covered mountains and eating delicious picnic food. i went home afterward noticing that my bicycle was acting funny. keri looked at it later and it's very, very broken. it needs a lot of fixin' and love but i'm sure i can do that for her. i cannot get rid of my bicycle, i love her very much.

unfortunately because of my sad bicycle i had to cancel my trail riding plans with keri and instead meet her at jericho bicycleless. i took the eightyfour to her work! that bus is amazing! all the way from east van past granville island, zulu records, the naam! it's great.

here is keri at jericho wearing her raybans.

i picked her some flowers on the way there.

we hung around in the sun and i rolled up my pants so i could walk in the water looking for rocks and shells to collect and take home. we left and wandered through kitsilano for awhile.

flower strewn streets

we passed a lazy sleepy cat on a chair at the vet

keri was hungry so we stopped at a grocery and picked up hummus, pita, and dolmades. i had never had dolmades before, they are delicious. we were right by my aunt and uncles old apartment in kits that i've always wanted to live in. there is nothing overly special about it, i just have good memories there. across the street from their old place is the toy box so keri and i stopped in there and got wind up toy owls and i got a horse sticker for my bicycle.

we sat on the curb and had a small picnic before the sun went down behind the buildings.

notice the owl!

we ate and decided to head for the bus and go home but then keri wanted to show me her old highschool. on the way there we passed a house that had burned down but still had a garden and almost looked livable until you looked closely.

we then got to kitsilano highschool and found a lazy dog!

keri showed me the art room.

then we found a man trying to find the entrance because a play was going on called the wiz. keri told him he should probably go around and try the front door because that's where the auditorium is. we decided to do the same. we snuck in and wandered the hallways.

the main entry way. this school has an indoor marquee...

keri found the photograph of a girl that graduated in the seventies that had some crazy name i can't remember and big BIG hair. keri did a project and used her name for it.

i'm pretty sure this staircase would take you to a math dungeon.

i found this poster way up on the wall near the celing. keri said she wanted it so i jumped up onto the windowsill and got it. she stuck it on the wall a bit lower and wrote "i like to eat dolmades!"

obligatory girls bathroom shot, out of focus of course.

our broken reflection in a mirror cat mosaic. weird highschool art.

sunset.

we ran around some more and then went back to the main floor. there were people everywhere. it was the intermission of the play so we decided to sneak in. we sat in the back corner. it was an adaption of the wizard of oz. it was the most awful piece of theatre i have ever seen. you could barely hear the actors speak, the choreography was brutal as well as the singing. no one could ennunciate their words and they actually referenced facebook. we talked, kissed and laughed through it and people kept shushing us.

the stage

this is oz i guess. this mask was probably the best part of the play.

we left and took the bus home. keri and i had a slumber party in her office and fell asleep listening to democracy now.

saturday:

in the morning we awoke and went downstairs to find malloreigh drinking coffee outside. it was hot, seriosuly. we all chilled out on the patio.

malloreigh

keri trying to find out exactly what's wrong with my bicycle.
afterwards she pretty much said "everything."

my bicycle, grandmother.

malloreigh and i got ready to meet lindsay and others at sunset beach for our beach day picnic. i walked over to the skytrain and ran into my friend tyler, i also found this lazy warm cat.

i made it to sunset beach to find malloreigh, lindsay, zoe, and dustin. everyone but dustin and i were wearing bikinis it was that nice out.

i made a summer quinoa salad.

my shoes and hat in the daisies

lindsay

dustin

wears acid wash jeans

i

wear bandanas.

malloreigh and lindsay are just warm with warm hearts and warm skin.

we left the beach and found so many garage sales. i found a parasol with a slight tear in it for two dollars and malloreigh got stacks of comics for cents.

we went to lindsays to get mals computer and then lindsay and i headed to the other lindsays house to try on dresses for villians that night.

lindsay had to clean some of the petals off of her car.

we got dresses and i headed home to rest, which i did not do. i ended up hanging out with keri and her sister for awhile and then just lazed around doing nothing at all but talking with keri. finally malloreigh and britt got home and we had to get ready to leave. we all got dressed up and went to coral and malcolms for a bar-b-q. so many beautiful people there smoking shisha before heading to villians. malloreigh, britt and i headed back home after to get keri and our bicycles. we rode down and danced hard all night, literally. we didn't leave the party till it ended at four. during the night we did take keri and her bicycle home in a cab but other than that it was dance dance dance all night. for pictures of that head to lindsaysdiet.com

after the party mal, britt and i rode home. the sky was slowly getting brighter. we rode down commercial and met a painter at a cornerstore on venables who was kind and talented. we rode down broadway, right in the middle! no cars in sight... almost. headed to china creek to ride in the bowls and went to the gardens at china creek north to watch the sunrise in the long grass and dead dandilions. for pictures of that head to malloreighs journal.

the sunrise was incrdible. a sky full of blue, pink, orange and white and my heart full of love. i can't even explain how good it felt to sit there in damp grass with two girls that i love so much. please experience that sometime.

the air began to get cool after the sun had rose so we went home and i slept for a bit. keri came down later for we wanted to go on an adventure somewhere.

sunday:

in the doorway, the after the party look.

keri made us breakfast, tatertots and coffee.

she was very sleepy and i had to keep waking her up so we could go to crescent beach! random? yes!

"where are we going?"

"over there! to crescent beach!"

bus time

bridges

a weird restaurant keri says she's been to for some reason.

a gordon avenue in surrey. i used to live on gordon avenue in port coquitlam. there is also a gordon avenue in coquitlam and west vancouver, maybe north vancouver too!

we made it to crescent beach which meant it was time for bananas and parasols!

also time for this... it said "fuck you" before so keri changed it.

we sat on the beach and looked out at the water and the boats

i found little kid sunglasses

a regatta

i have this kite that my mom gave me that folds up so you can put it in a little case. this was my first time flying it.

we walked for a bit sowe could go to the alexandra festival that was happening there. on the way keri tried to catch a dragon kite,

bicycles do not radiate, or do they?

keri picked me some lilacs because they are my favorite flower.

the alexandra festival was full of music, children, arts and crafts and hippies selling clothing.

she would paint your face for five to ten dollars.

the office is the name of keris bed. mainly because it always has her cellphone and computer on it. sometimes other electronics hang out as well.

we found our dreamhouse.

happy dancing children

ac + kt = happiness.

keri made a quinoa black bean salad but we forgot utensils so we had to use an empty film cannister.

then we headed home. i ran out of film but for photographs of playing in the park and the skytrain ride out to port coquitlam you can look at malloreighs journal.

i went to see my parents and then keri and i took that last bus home. we got harrassed by three different security people on the way home for nogood reason as we were never doing anything wrong.

sleep was needed but didn't really happen. i feel like i've barely slept at all this week. but the weekend was epic. i need more weekends like this.

tonight i am going to hypercolour at library square and need to look nineties soi better get on that.
