I wrote a myspace blog a few months ago about how I always have to drink milk to see if it's gone bad or not, which is why I diligently check exp dates before imbibing anything anymore. I just can't smell whether or not something has gone bad. This just absolutely fascinates people

A friend who considers herself really bad at giving presents once gave me a scented candle as a gift, even though she was fully (as opposed to forgetfully) aware that I have no sense of smell.

I guess she fulfilled her self-description.

I tell the people at work ALL THE TIME that I can't smell, but they always forget. They got me scented candles for my birthday. Sigh.

I don't burn candles of any kind, because I'm so paranoid about fire. I'm terrified that a fire would start and I wouldn't know until I turned around and saw the smoke and flames.
