As tonight is an off-sleeping night and I tend to occupy myself with increasingly giddy and ridiculous interests as sleep-deprivation builds up toward the great, thrice-weekly collapse, here's some of my favorite guitar solos. Endeavor to post your own, and I will update as the burden of grave necessity so inclines.

Anything by this guy.

His songs are great as well. Though these might not be as exciting with a good night's sleep.

The Marilyn Manson one you posted was hilarious, but I'm not anywhere near inherently-on-crack/sleep-deprived to enjoy that whole site. Even my appreciation for post-ironic non sequiturs has a limit. That's saying a lot--I cried tears of riotous laughter for the entire five minutes of the Conway Twitty gag on Family Guy.

Yea, you kinda have to pick and choose amongst the shred videos as they can be a little tedious. My personal favorite he does is the Carlos Santana one. I love how this guy puts so much effort and precision in making something sound so bad. It's an art all its own.

Belly laughter is the best. I don't know the skit you speak of, and youtube is failing me on that tip. One of the last good ones I had was the 30 Rock featuring the preemptive taping of a disaster. "We all remember where we were when that tornado hit that handgun factory."

As far as real solos go, these are a few of my favorites:

Brian Eno - Golden Hours

XTC - Real by Real

Suede - Animal Nitrate
