I just heard they ordered another season, but only half the episodes, and the episodes they do have, they've put on hold for 3 months. There was more at www.darkhorizons.com

Fox is pulling critically acclaimed comedy Arrested Development from its schedule, effective immediately reports MSN.
Two episodes of Arrested Development aired this week, after a month-long pause, but the run won't be resumed until after the all-important ratings period in November. The network has also cut back on the number of shows it ordered from producers at Imagine, asking for just 13 segments, instead of 22.
So they are still ordering episodes to be made, they are just cutting the run down by half. Fox has a long long long LONG history of making woeful choices regarding it's schedules and it's popular shows. During the last takeover, all of Fox's most popular shows were cancelled and newer shows created to replace them. Just about all of their new shows failed completely. Fox just seems to have it's head up it's ass!
Yeah because this worked so well for Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's Show, Wonder Falls, Fast Lane, Andy Richter Controls The Universe, Skin, Girl's Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freaky Links, Wanda At Large, Costello, The Lone Gunman, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddy, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric The Entertainer, The Tick, Louie, And Greg The Bunny
Your right, it has been canceled. But only temporarily as Jason Bateman recently underwent throat surgery. If there's something further to this and they are talking abou taking it off the air for good so only be saved by signatures I have not heard about it. I did hear they were planning another season. But while this show may now be watched by alot of people, it's winning awards. Those were the exact words of some other msnbc voices when being interviewd after the press release about Jason Bateman's suregry.
