How's the storm/power situation on your mountain? Seeing as you're replying, I take it PG&E was able to get their act together? Hugs to you and the Kidz! :)
Thanks! It's pretty incredible - what really wigged me out was how much we sound alike. There were times I felt like I was having a conversation with myself. Hope you're doing well!
I found my birth mom again when I was around 15. I'd been taken away from her when I was 5, and had been out of contact with her from 8 years old (my first adoptive family refused to allow contact with her). How? The phone book. *chuckles* I wasn't quite so bold as to call-I wrote a letter, which put her into shock in her therapist's office, but she was thrilled and stunned to hear from me. We've been in contact ever since-and thanks to her, I've also gotten to know my dad.
Of course, this means it's a pain in the arse for me to go back home to visit these days-my second adoptive family and my birth family both live in Seattle, and of course, everybody wants me to stay with them, and all that stuff. But, it feels good-filling, actually.
My mom and I are quite a bit alike, but I personally feel I'm more like her sister (my aunt, who lives in Chicago-Ticious) in personality and looks.
Heheh - sometimes it's the obvious solution, eh? I was really surprised that the first people finder site I used didn't work - with all the information that was listed it's a wonder none of it showed up. Better late than never though!
Perhaps you and I will end up in Seattle in the future - I know you've mentioned a few times wanting to move back.
I want very badly to go back, but the more I look at how the cost of living has risen in the last 5 years, the more I'm considering moving towards Portland, OR., which is only about 3 hours from Seattle. That, and all of the friends I grew up with are currently residing in Portland.
How cool, I'm very happy for you. =) I'll agree life does throw curve balls when you least expect it, but hey this one is a beautiful curve ball. Take care hun and dag nabit i need your new number so we can yack =P

Yay please make sure you put your name in the subject of the e-mail, i've tightened down my spam filter pretty hard over the last couple of weeks, and if i don't recognize the address it goes in the trash.
