lovely tattoo, why am I so surprised that it is your first? mhmm... it is sort of addicting to, as I am always trying to find something that has enough meaning to be my second tattoo. I love Kurt Halsey's drawings. :)

I've thought about getting a tattoo for many years (specifically representing my family/culture), but time/money and fear usually prevented me from actually getting it. Mark had finally decided on what he wanted for his second tattoo and talk about his idea and the excitement building up to his appointment was the final push I needed to do something.

I decided to wait on the 'family' tattoo (that will be a back piece - ee!) and had completely fallen in love with a Halsey sketch of the sleeping kittens. It reminds me of the comfort and love I feel for Mark, it also reminds me of our two sweet kittens who are known to sleep just like their drawn counterparts and it's a reminder to enjoy the simple pleasures and be here now. I really can't help but smile when I look at it. :)

And yes, love love Halsey. Mark presented me with 4 of his paintings as a Valentine present - completely over the moon am I.

Actually, a back piece will hurt considerably less than your foot piece. *grins*

It looks -awesome-! I still need to get mine finished.

this is true - I suspect future ink will be easier than this one. :D

And thanks! I may have to get all my inked friends to post pictures -- seems there's more of you than I originally thought.

Yay! I love it. It looks awesome!

Foot is a rough place I've heard. Mine on my back was easy. The one on my stomach hurt like a bitch. MAJOR pain, but it was also all black.

I <3 it. /lurve

Hi you! Thanks! :)

I can definitely imagine being tattooed on the stomach would be incredibly painful (and ticklish!) -- how did you sit through it?

Glad to hear from you, by the way -- how've you been?
