We signed the lease for our new place last night. The apartment is huge! 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (Santa Cruz size bathtubs! Ceramic tile!), lots of wall space, a gas range and so much natural light I can't stand it. The re-location folks will be here for the walkthrough on Friday. It's snowing outside. I mean, pouring-down-windy-can't-see-in-front-of-you snowing. The guys are running around the shop throwing snowballs at one another. There's a very audible *pumphf!* of a snowball's contact and the victorious shouts of "OH!!", followed by laughing and some mumbled cursing. Work today. Hectic hectic. Going back to work after 5 days is always sluggish, but a desk fullof paper work to shuffle and messages to pass around, plus new and current clients to meet, fax, babysit, etc. not only makes the hours fly, it makes for an entry that started at noon and is now finally remembered at 3:00 in the afternoon ( Read more... )
