01. Though Yoite's ambiguous gender is manga canon, the specifics of it aren't, though I did research on it and decided for myself :x
02. The mysterious reason for why Yoite could SOMEHOW FLY AND JUMP AROUND LIKE EDDIE GORDO ON CRACK or something in the first few bits of his canon, in my mind, is because he could use his kira to fly, and manipulate life force in the same way that telekinetics use their powers to move objects. It took a lot of strain on his mind, and a large amount of ki, however, so it was only something he could do for the first few months of kira usage.
03. At this point, in a_facility, his senses are 'stuck'. Yoite receives weekly maintenance to restore his ki, but he can only hear about 20% of the time, he can't taste, his fingers go numb sometimes, and his eyesight is very, very poor, sometimes blacking out for a few seconds.
04. The only reason he identifies as a boy now is because he was given boys' clothes at Kairoushou. He likes being considered entirely a boy, and has since embraced it, getting overly aggressive when people call him "pretty" or "girly."
05. It was never really made clear in the manga, his siblings, but Yoite has three of them, all half-siblings from his father's second marriage. A sister (three years older), and two brothers (one five years older, one a year younger).
06. Yoite loves lemons so much because his sense of smell is so strong. Citrus scents are also, in turn, strong, and linger for a very long time, so it's a constant stimulus for him, and stays on his gloves. They will always remind him of Yukimi.
07. Hana is the first person who has been nice to Yoite for no discernible reason that he can find. Consequentially, she scares the shit outta him.
08. All that Yoite knows has been entirely self-taught and/or gathered from his environment. He was never sent to school, so he was constantly reading as he grew up. He's very intelligent, and he picks up how to to things incredibly easy - it's merely that he was never given the sources to learn that he's as clueless as he is now.
09. The reason Yoite doesn't want to die, other than Miharu's having him promise, is mostly because death would be, in and of itself, bothersome. Someone would have to make him a coffin, to bury him, to cremate him, to pay for all of this, and it would only really solve his OWN problems, not everyone else's. Death is the most selfish thing he can think of doing.
10. Yoite has no idea what sex is. He doesn't know what male genitalia looks like, or female genitalia. He only has his own to base off, and all he knows of his own is that it's "wrong." ...Although he has Kite's nads to base off now too.
