so right now i'm kind of scared. its hitting me that i'm really not going to be here much longer. that is, its only a matter of a week or so until i'm not living in arcata. that this whole identity that i have constructed here is going to be be unplugged like a night light ripped from the wall

it's not throwing eden away if eden's what's stopping you from moving foreword in life. Having no identity lets you create a new one, hopefully more attune to what it should be.

Do you have an exact date of departure figured out?

I present this now for comical effect and not as a pointed jab, even though that's where the comedy come from. And to say that many people feel this way.
