this weekend sucked,
all we wanted to do was
see a goddamed art show.
Which never happend

My days don't seem to be getting better.
Perhaps I'm loosing my ability to look for the
positive.
Perhaps I'm loosing my ability to feel joy.
It seems like something I experience on the weekend.
I'm not myself any more.
I love the way that sounds.
I have no idea what it means.

The air was cool today.
It brought back memories of days before.
One in particular of Mississippi in the fall.
Sleeping through the morning and
waking up in the afternoon,
with a new pair of eyes....
Driving through the cotton and soy bean.
I rode in the back seat,
enjoying the music,
playing on the radio.

There was a point in time the other night at my birthday party.
When they turned down the dimmers until the only light in the dining room came
from the flaming candles on top of my cake.
With one large breath I blew them all out,
and for a brief moment I was all alone,
in the dark.

The doors opened late on the return train home. When the time came that they allowed passengers to board, there were still very few doors that opened . People scurried and ran leaving their posts where moments before they dutifully stood awaiting entry. Caressing their pre-visualized window seat in their imagination.
