My apartment feels cold and lonely tonight,
yet oddly familiar.

First day back in the city.
These strange emotions are coming back to me.
Things that I'd thought I'd left behind,
like playing with dangerous fire.
I wrote this a year ago on Sept 15,

The rages of a year of storms.
Please God show us mercy.
Haven't we lost enough.
