It turns out she claims she was blowing me off for the most bizarre reason I have ever heard--I reminded her of a guy who TA'd a class she took last year (who I happen to know, and who incidentally [I'm not sure how this figures in] is very obviously not straight), and she must have had enough negative thoughts associated with him or something,

That really sounds like a made up excuse to me. Really, unless she has the emotional maturity of an eleven year old. I guess as college girls get more and more spoiled by their daddies, the more emotionally imature they get.
