ah, i'm trying so hard to keep on--it's impossible not to, when people like you make the world such a beautiful place. painful, yes, but there's too much loveliness to be found, even in that pain, for me to stop now.
I just keep telling myself that we'll make it. Somehow. I think this festival (and this whole year) has taught me just how optimistic I can be. I never thought I was a "glass half full" person until now.
I e-mailed DFA, though it probably won't do much. I also e-mailed Lea Strongheart about the workshop. I think we needed that emergency meeting more than the festival did. Somehow, now, I believe in us so much more.
I love you, darling. You make change just by living. And no, you don't deserve anyone to get in the way of this - of any of this. Goodnight, Jen. Hang on.
Strangely enough, I was just headed off to listen to Hercules. Jeez, you'd think we did something silly like sing Disney songs all night, wouldn't you? <3.
Sweetie, I needed to thank you for today, and for last night. I wish I could spend the next few months (or longer, even !) talking late into the night and then waking up next to you, celebrating Gay Lovers' Night at Giant Eagle and beaming over Scott&Jamison and feeling safe and warm and loved. I needed today--and last night, and all of this. I need too much, really, but you're somehow always here, and things feel lighter when you're around. Festival of Peace 2004 will fucking rock--I'm sure that we'll attract crowds from men's restrooms all over the city, and maybe that little kid will make it. And, dude--Jamison? Maybe he'll even come! (Also, Matt Burchfield.) I love you, Kara. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me believe in better things, always.
sometimes, i see that i'm surrounded by magical creatures; without them, i'm sure that i wouldn't be here, right now. (and while that doesn't seem like such a bad idea, tonight, i'm holding on. thanks, babe.)
