what makes a person who he/she is? the individual definiton? Is it the way one carries themself? The way one works words like magic? Or superficial things, like the way you look, smell, touch, thrust. When you're a cadaver... will any of this really matter?

I've always kind of felt that no matter what you did with your life, beneficial or not, it wouldn't amtter because you'll end up just like everyone else: a gravestone with your name on it & some fake, sugary sweet description of you.
But that's just me.
I want my tombstone to say:
"Elyse Stephens
1987- (whenever)
She just didn't give a fuck."

Will what you do after you're dead matter?

Matter - to be of importance.

Important- 1. Drastically affecting the course of events or the nature of things
2. Of great significance or value

Chaos Theory says yes. :-P Any action echoes through eternity.
But, really, value is relative to ones opinion. Everything's relative! In the words of Solomon, the supposed "wisest man to ever live:"

"Vanity of vanities...vanity of vanities; all is vanity."-
Ecclesiastes 1:2

Or in some translations(NIV): "Meaningless! Meaningless!"
says the Teacher.
"Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless."

However, that wasn't the question, was it? You asked what makes a person, and what of that matters.

I mean, I live in my house, I own my house, but people don't normally consider their house a part of them. But, your consiousness, I believe that is "you." It defines what you do, what you think. It is the thing that does and it is the ( ... )

Your reply to my comment seemed to be very religiously based.
Keep in mind, not all of us believe in a "higher power."
I was looking at his question from an agnostic human's viewpoint, rather than someone who believes in heaven or hell.

LoL.
What does it really matter any way? Any of it? Who knows. Just live how you want to live. Maybe we can all die happy. Wouldn't that be great. "I'm dying and I don't give a shit." That's all I hope for.

...If I die... I for sure want you and Hammy to bust out "pump, pump, pump it up" at my funeral. k?
