the story of "the melon" as told to me by Bucky Lasek

back in the early days of skateboarding theres was guy, a sailor. his name was pop-i. not popeye mind you, that was his cousin. well he was in love with peanut oil but pluto keep kicking his ass at s-k-a-t-e. (for those of you who dont know that horse for skateboarders)so he deciced to invent a trink so kick-ass that he would win peanut oils heart. because pop-i was just a halfwit boy cracking a smile and wearing it all on his sleeve. so he practiced and practiced until he got so tired he had to eat something and he didnt care and reached out and grabbed a watermelon and bit into it. suddenly he was energized! he grabbed his board and dropped in and did a grab noone had ever seen! so he challenged pluto to a game of s-k-a-t-e. he ate the watermelon and did a what he called a "melon grab" and kicked some pluto ass. well, he won the girl and kicked pluto ass, what more could a sailor ask for.
