Retail Therapy?

...featuring Monster High dolls. No, I haven't gotten into them, I've been helping hyperbolicsquid find the ones he's looking for. This entails a lot more than most would think. xD I've seen the inside of more Walmarts and Targets in the last few weeks than I have in the last five years.

I do confess, when I lucked out and called my local Walmart Supercenter to ( Read more... )

Just FYI, the hands/forearms pop off so that you can dress them more easily -- so there's no need to cut the bracelet :)

And, YAY, Skull Shores Frankie! She is such a cutie -- one of my favorites! ^__^

I went to Wal-Mart and my local Target yesterday, and a different Target today (I had legitimate errands to run, but I also swung by the toy aisle *grin*), but sadly, no joy. Still looking for the Clawdeen/Howleen 2-pack (I want another Howleen to customize, and I'd like to get a spare of that version of Clawdeen to re-root -- the purple-and-green hair is fun, but it's hard to dress her!) and for Rochelle.

Hoping my local stores stock up again soon!

Wishing you luck on the employment front! <3!

::pops hand off:: Wouldja look at that. xD; Yeah, I was worried because these gals seem kinda fragile, but not too bad there. Thanks! :D

I like her rather...old school look. When her hair was still wet, my tendency was to slick her hair to something resembling the bride of Frankenstein. :P

I'm also looking for Howleen as well, but it appears that Target is going to stop selling them in-store, if their website is to be believed. :/ New stock day at my local TRU is Thursday, so I was thinking of joining the stalkers at opening to find another Rochelle and a Jackson. xD

Thank you! I think we all need some good vibes all around, yes? <3

I don't know WTF is up with Target and Howleen -- a lot of stores seem never to have gotten her, so I figured they were still in the stocking phase . . . WalMart, TRU, and ToysRUs all seem to have crappy websites in terms of tracking availability.

Argh, why does Mattel not sell them directly online??!? Their webstore is never up-to-date with the newer characters, so it's near-impossible to snag them unless you're willing to stalk multiple stores :/

I actually got one SS Frankie and Rochelle through the sales board on monsterhighdolls.com, but I think I lucked out. xD The box isn't here yet, though, so I'm hoping she didn't rip me off...

...if Mattel sold them through their website, that would be too easy! xD;;; Yeah, I definitely get what you mean. ::groans::

A website that seems to be on the ball for at least telling you about possible stock is toycountry.com (Their newsletter is here: http://www.toycountry.com/store/toy-news-archive-monster-high-dolls-toy-country-online-toy-store.html)
