Weeds for lunch!

Yay! I positively identified a weed in my garden as Lamb's Quarters, an edible plant.  I've had it for salad the last two days.  It's great with ranch dressing, I can tell you.

It's the little things that do it for me.

The book's going well; I need to go faster but I'm off to a decent start.  Thanks especially to Sarah, Rudi and Lexi for posting

I'm not to the point of eating volunteer plants-- I'd settle for my peppers actually doing something, to be honest. It's amazing how many things can be eaten, though. Makes the swaths of day lilies everywhere a little less annoying knowing that, in case of world's end, they could feed us. Only a little though.
