I don't update much

I know, I should post more angsty personal drama on here. I promise, at some point I might, but for the moment I'll give you this because I really didn't think I'd ever see it ( Read more... )

That's an absurd argument. It's not difficult to find giant vats of chemicals that you can use to make into chemical weapons. Any major chemical supplier or any major industrial plant in the US would have the same stuff. The US doesn't have monopoly on such chemicals. They are used in every day production of plastics, steel or any major industry. Here, they don't even have chemicals, they just have some containers. And not in Iraq, but in Jordan, one of the US's allies. As far as I know, having a chemical plant or using industrial chemicals is not illegal. Invading a country just because they can use such chemicals is the height of silliness. It's like saying we should kill anyone who knows martial arts just because they can teach it to someone we don't like or use it to harm others.

So vats that are supposed to be monitored as part of potential weapons programs, that at one time containted materials, dissappear and end up in another country and it's not odd?

And your martial arts analogy doesn't quite work. It'd be more like saying they're using a style of kung-fu and we practice a different style and feel they're using theirs for evil purposes - so we kill them. Or like, we're light side Jedi and they're the dark side.

Did you actually read the articles or are you just basing your entire arguement off of what I wrote at 5:19 in the morning while I was up with a fever?

Nope, didn't read the articles. Just based it on your writing that you wrote at 5:19 in the morning when you had a fever.

In any case, I don't think it's so weird that controled materials disappear sometimes. Afterall, the US lost a couple hundred pounds of fissile materials over the years. The British recently found out that some employee's been dumping their nuclear wastes directly into the ocean. Right after the Americans took over Iraq, people broke right into nuclear power plants and weapon stores and looted everything in sight. So, no, it's not much of a surprise that some empty vats disappeared and ended up in a junk yard in some neighboring country.
