I always have this problem finding a locale in which to listen to video or audio pieces on the computer. I look forward to finding out if your intuition re this is correct.

I was going to suggest that you use earphones, but it's absolutely unnecessary since everybody else is going to be plugged into their devices you can use your speakers without even being noticed.
