The beginning of Xmas

Got the advent calendars done in the nick of time. Seriously, this getting Christmas stuff done for the 1st is very difficult to get one's head around! I'm pleased with how it turned out:

That rocks! Such a clever way to do it, I've only ever thought of them with pockets or flaps, but there's no reason why they need to be like that.

I had that same thing happen with a couple of octopus charms I bought at the bead shop and "put somewhere safe" - so safe I couldn't find the damn things! Turns out they were in the drawer of my desk, but tucked down the front so I couldn't see them straight away. Fingers crossed your eyes will show up before you need to buy more!

That's a gorgeous advent calendar. Lots of work to make but I imagine also great fun.

The eyes will turn up staring at you when you least expect them and no longer need them, it's the way of the world.

PS I'm guilty of scrolling back to examine the wallpaper you drew attention to. Looks fine to me, at least it's neutral and not an inherited pattern you can't bear.
