Whaaaaaaaat?! I'm just surprised, is all. And aren't you generally guaranteed funding as a grad student in this sort of field. I'm also confused in addition to surprised. I want you to be happy and do what's best for you, just confused.

Well, I'm sorry, but I also think you're right. I mean, they say you really shouldn't pay much for doctoral study--the institution should be able to support you.

If it's a relief, then it's probably the best decision. Something better will come along. And it IS their fault if they can fund you--goodlord!
