so basically you want tto be like john mayer? he's sick and ive never read your songs, but people like everything. if people can like what jesse maccartney sings, im SURE they would like what you write.

I think you can make it if you want to. The music business sucks because it's so unstable. But, you can play really well and sing really well, and you write really good lyrics so I don't see why you couldn't and wouldn't make it.

And you said you didn't want reassurance. Well too bad for you.

i work with this amazing guy, jim, at kidstock. he's a songwriter. he works primarily with/for kids. writing music for shows to either be performed for or by children. he was also being called back for this workshop thing in new york (where many broadway folk start off)

i was just telling you this so maybe you could think about songwriting in a different light... you don't necessarily need to be making records to be doing what you love.

you love kids... ever thought of the prospect of musical story telling?

don't let gilmore girls get you down (since i think that was the catalyst for this whole sad, what-if-i-can't-make-it update)... it was a thoroughly upsetting episode.
really you're a great songwriter and you will find something that will make you happy. things will work out for you.
