[Bazett counts herself lucky that with all the chaos of helping out new arrivals, recovering from hallucinations, figuring out how to use human technology, and dealing with getting her left arm lopped off in the post office in return for lead balls that she could not use, she had almost forgotten about looking for the girl that she had brought

[Gat's one of the unfortunate folks who neither managed to hold on to the weapons they'd bought in Mayfield, or lucky enough to get a gun from the hordes of cannibals that are invading the town.]

[But that doesn't stop him from trying his hardest to help people in need.]

[At some point-whether it be while Bazett is fighting off cannibals, or during a quieter period of time-there'll be a burst of action nearby. Gat just shoulder-rammed a cannibal that was threatening to attack Bazett, sending it flying in a fit of screeching angrish. Considering this guy is an android that looks like he ought to be a human-sized Gundam or Autobot, that's gotta hurt!]

[Bazett is startled by the sudden noise behind her. She turns around to see the cannibal sent flying by the colossus.]

T-thank you.

[She has been too careless. Had the iron giant not stepped in, the revenant certainly would have succeeded in its attack.]

[Gat gets up after his shoulder-ramming the cannibal, and looks back over to Bazett.]

You alright, ma'am?

[His voice has a mechanical echo to it ... but it otherwise soudns human. He's got some kind of Texan-like accent to boot.]

I will have to be more careful of these things. They seem craftier than their appearance would suggest.
