1. Outside of 1130 Taylor Road

[In hindsight, Bazett should have known better than to try to make breakfast, especially not with the mushrooms on the counter. Her drone husband had apparently cultivated them in the garden. Although they were purple and white, she had assumed that they were edible. Why else would her drone husband have suggested that ( Read more... )

[Yeah, babby Gil chills out at the bar.]

Kotomine Kirei died a while ago....

[Bazett blinks in surprise at what she sees as a golden armored man sitting in one of the pews.]

Who are you? What are you doing here?

[Ignoring the pain of her "wound," she prepares to fight.]

What did you do to Father Kotomine? You said he died. Did you kill him?

[While she could not call Kirei Kotomine a friend, he was still her ally and her superior. Any person who raised a hand against him, therefore, was her enemy.]

[He tilts his head, a little confused. Probably an odd gesture when she's hallucinating him as an adult.]

Onii-san killed him. I don't see why that would be a problem for you, though.

[The man's words are confusing. It is even more infuriating because of his dismissive tone. He sounds as if she is beneath him and not even worth talking to.]

Big brother? You have allies?

[This is worse than she thought.]

Do not speak of him that way. He was my superior and my partner. Though I cannot call him a friend, I will not allow you to insult him in that manner.

[Well. That catches his attention.]

...He's not here anymore.

[She recognizes the man from his file, though she has never met him personally.]

Kiritsugu Emiya. What are you doing here? You retired from you work as an Enforcer around ten years ago, citing "personal issues." You no longer have ties to the Church or the Association, so what are you doing in Father Kotomine's Church?

[She wonders what he means by his words.]

Why would he not be here? This is his church. Was he assigned another mission while I was away in that strange town? If so, why did he not even leave a note for me, seeing how I am his partner and subordinate?

[Kiritsugu almost reaches for his weapon at those words. Still, in a place as public as this, against a person he knows nothing about, he's at a disadvantage.]

[Enforcer, while not inaccurate, is an interesting way to put his previous role. It's not that strange to have been labelled as one, he figures. Not when you consider the person who raised him.]

[He bluntly evades every single question made, throwing his own.]

And you? Are you an Enforcer, or an Executor?

[She did call herself Kotomine's subordinate, but depending on the time, that could point towards different organizations. She never showed up in any of his considerable research, however. Fortunately, Kiritsugu's enmity with Kotomine is very much personal, and he's not an enemy of the Church as a whole. What's more, it is supremely unlikely that he would send someone to kill Kiritsugu.]

[But that does not discard the possibility of him being regarded as a rogue magus. Kiritsugu's no longer useful to the Association, so it wouldn't be against their nature to tie off loose

Enforcer. Though I have worked with the Church before. It is inevitable when my superior is technically an Executor of the Church.

[She supposes she should be honored to meet one of her seniors. However, she can only marvel at this man's fashion sense. He is wearing nothing but a tight red corset, laced panties, fishnet stockings, and high heels studded with sequins. Was this the "personal issues" that he had cited in his file?]

[Of course, this is once again her hallucination.]
