I saw Million Dollar Baby this weekend, and it is perhaps the best movie I've seen this year. I was getting agitated about the Oscars because, as much as I wanted one, I didn't have a particular movie or director for which to cheer. Wait - that Susan Kay book. What's it called? I swear I read it when I was 14. It ROCKS.

I heard Million Dollar Baby is sad - I expect it's a great movie, because Mystic River is - perhaps I'll see it if it comes to the $3 theater here. :-)

The Susan Kay book is called Phantom. It has a cheesy romance novel-esque cover with a few black roses and a mask. You know, having started it, I swear I've read it -- or at least looked at it -- before. Hmm. If you have it omg you should ebay it! Lol.

I was a little lukewarm about Mystic, though I knew it was a good movie. This, though, this rendered my speechless.

$3 theater? Woot!

I've totally read that book. I don't have it, though; otherwise I'd totally reread it now. It's so awesome, in a somewhat guilty-pleasure kind of way.

I think Clint Eastwood looks a bit like a corpse.
