I imagine that Middle Class Batman would still be as intelligent and driven as Standard Batman, that he would have gotten a degree and tried, initially, to channel his rage into socially approved channels like law enforcement (cop) or the military, or possibly lawyering. When this is not sufficient, when it fails to fully satisfy, that's when Batman begins. The illustration really seems more like a Blue Collar Batman.
I can see Middle Class Batman trying to keep his day life together in order to finance the Bat, and doing a piss-poor job of it. There might even be a biter ex-wife in the background just for some additional emotional distress and angst. Middle Class Batman would, ideally, be a pretty tortured character.
