I found myself saying today in conversation that every thing looked tickety-boo, why I don't know, as this is certainly not one of my stock phrases. Once it came out of my mouth the dusty cluster of brain cells responsible for storing this very vital bit of decades-old data pinged to life and I got this song stuck in my head:

See, if I was empress of the world, this would happen all the time. I want to see K St lobbyists pouring out at lunchtime in choreographed song and dance, singing about how they were gonna go to the Bread Line for a brie and turkey sandwich, a la Joss Whedon Buffy Musical.
And pith helmets. Everyone would wear pith helmets.

Oh, it's definitely stuck in my head, but Danny Kaye is a guilty pleasure, so it's ok. I actually liked it.

Yea, when I was a little kid, if a Danny Kaye movie happened to be on TV, I was glued to it, so I still have warm fuzzies for him.
