Today over lunch I went to the Covered Market to get some Armenian sausages (can those be chopped up prior to cooking?) and I also went to a Charity Shop to get a cheap, cheesy novel. I walked out with a semi-serious book on India and 10 balls of Edina Ronay Rowan yarn in a rather bright fuschia which cost me £2.00. It is a lovely soft silk and ( Read more... )

Oooh, yarn envy!!
Yes, I'm sure sausages can be chopped up prior to cooking. warning, these leak quite a deal of fat, and the pine nuts have a habit of making this fat look yellow. This is not something to worry about.

Oh, thanks for the warning. I almost didn't look at the yarn because there was another customer taking up a lot of space when I first came in, but I am so glad I did in the end. The also had a rather nice brown bag, but I don't need another bag (please repeat at regular intervals).

Thanks for the link. This really made my day. I had no idea how rare the stuff is. And it is really, really soft. Maybe they will be special socks only to be worn in bed in the winter. All I need is an inspiring pattern.

I was thinking about sweet pea from the current knitty. I think it is even a top down pattern, so it should work within my limitations:).
