Aw, this was the cute. Stories where people use (sentient) body parts as gifts but don't totally gross me out are so rare. I admit, I wasn't sure who the giver was until the very last line (I couldn't for the life of me remember what Jazz's weapons were), but Sentinel calling him a "slightly sociopathic cybercat" was perfect.

May I ask whose arms they received? Despite owning the series, I haven't actually gotten around to watching it. Mea culpa.

The arms could belong to any random Decepticon, I didn't decide on anyone and the fic doesn't reference any episode in the series :3

But it's probably not Megatron, his arms are too big ^^;;

Ah, gotcha! That does make sense, and I had already figured that would be a problem with Megatron. My best guess was Shockwave since he was definitely taken out, but I couldn't remember anything where he dealt with Sentinel and Optimus in particular. Thanks!

Oh no!
Well, kinda but not really.
I mean, the "escaped" Decepticon didn't really escape - but he did lose some very important body parts.

The banter between Sentinel Prime and Optimus Prime - sweetly done.
(Prowl, a cybercat showing off his captures/kills but in such away that NO ONE can trace back to him. Least, not without putting many, many gifts together and looking at the comonalities.)
Hmm. Makes me think that perhaps Jazz is using Prowl as a potential scapegoat? Just to muddy the waters, of course! Not because he wants the ninja-bot imprisoned, but to keep everyone on their toes (peds) about just WHO is gifting limbs to certain higher-ups.

The Decepticon did escape, but only for a while until someone caught up to them :)

In this fic, Prowl is providing a certain other ninja with an alibi while at the same time being protected by the appearance of always having Jazz around him. He is not being set up as a scapegoat for gruesome presents being found in unexpected areas.

Parts gifting in this 'verse is unexpectedly common than certain Primes realised or are entirely comfortable with, and it's not just a certain ninja who keeps up the practice ;p
