It's only been about 5 months since I last posted here. I actually thought it might have been longer. I was afraid to look. Nothing overly dramatic has happened. Just popping in to offer some Kitty advice, as we have had kittens so young they still needed bottle feeding, so old they were deaf, blind and toothless, three legged cats, old cats and young cats living together, foster cats, blended cat families and cats and dogs living together!

You want a Cat's Meow, to entertain them when they want to play but you don't have time. And a Da Bird, which is the most engaging toy ever and Jackson Galaxy's (renowned cat behaviorist!) number one recommended solution to most behavior problems in cats, lol. Try to play with the kitty twice a day, for 15-20 minutes, especially right before you go to bed. The more you wear 'em out before bed, the more likely they'll sleep through the night and leave you be! Also, Animal Planet's 'My Cat From Hell' has saved our household of cats. If you have Netflix, it is streaming on there as well. The host of the show, Jackson Galaxy, would recommend 'line of sight' feeding for the dog and cat. As in, put up a babygate or screen and feed the dog on one side ( ... )

It's great to hear from you! Your new kitty and your dog will get along fine after a few weeks, especially given that the cat is young. Definitely take some time off. Everyone needs to decompress once and a while.
