It has been 3 years since I lived alone. I used to love it, and miss it sometimes. I have to say that as far as living with someone goes, living with Jason is pretty smooth and easy. i'm curious to what recipe you used to make mint juleps? my boyfriend has been looking for a good one recently and i'd like to surprise him! also, do you still have a jewelry livejournal? i didn't add it the first time and i'd love tos ee some of your work!!

I don't have an exact exact recipe, but here is what I observed from watching my bartender friend make them:

in a pint glass, combine:
2oz bourbon whiskey
1-2 raw sugar cubes
10 mint leaves

muddle these ingredients (you can use the back end of a wooden spoon if you don't have a muddler)

pour into a collins glass, add ice and a splash of soda water on top, and garnish with a sprig of mint

voila!
